Souvenirs

Image
Lovers and visitors of  Brighton buy my prints as souvenirs. This one is of an English lady sitting on the beach  holding her cider. As you can see locals don't mind the grey skies or the cold weather, neither to expose their imperfect bodies to the nature and tourists.

This one was a birthday present to my friends. First attemt of a caricature drawing.

50£ worth painting in a 250£ frame

Image
You can see the finished version of  this painting at Café Paris in the heart of Brighton . The owner, called Paris who named his café after himself apparently, was very enthusiastic when I offered him my services. He just took over the place from an Arabian owner, and the pictures hanging there were more resembling Saud Arabia than France. Paris asked me to replace a pair of black eyes in a frame hanging on one of the walls with something more appropriate, so I took measurements and went shopping for the right size paper. Unfortunately I got the wrong size, so when I returned with the painting Paris was very disappointed. It was too small for the frame. I was disappointed too, and I gave Paris the painting for half price £50 instead of the agreed £100. He paid me immediately. Later I found out that he loved it so much, that he put it in a frame worth £250.
